This Host Agreement governs your participation as a third-party vehicle host on the G Motion Rentals Inc platform (gmotionrentals.com). By listing a vehicle on our platform, you agree to the terms below in addition to our general Terms of Service and Rental Agreement. G Motion Rentals Inc operates as the dealer of record under Wheelbase fleet management software (dealer_id: 4997928); all bookings of host vehicles are processed under this dealer account. G Motion Rentals Inc handles guest acquisition, marketing, customer service, insurance routing, and payment processing on your behalf.
G Motion Rentals Inc charges a tier-based commission on the base daily rental rate of each completed booking. The host's commission tier is determined automatically by the platform based on the host's completed-trip count and average renter rating, and may change over time as the host's profile updates. Current tiers and host shares of the base daily rate are: Bronze (default) — 70%; Silver (25+ completed trips and ≥4.5★ average) — 73%; Gold (50+ trips and ≥4.7★) — 76%; Platinum (100+ trips and ≥4.8★) — 80%. Each booking locks in the tier in effect at the time the booking is created; later tier promotions or demotions do not change the rate for already-created bookings. The platform commission funds operations, marketing, customer support, insurance coordination, and infrastructure. Insurance markups (Trip Insurance Plan upcharges) are retained 100% by the platform. Pass-through charges — California Sales Tax (9.75%), processing fees, Roamly Rental Shield premiums, and Wheelbase insurance premiums — are NOT subject to commission and flow directly to the relevant party. Add-on services (delivery, additional driver, etc.) are split according to the agreement noted in each vehicle's listing. G Motion Rentals Inc may revise the tier structure or thresholds from time to time; material revisions are notified to active hosts by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
Hosts set their own daily rental rate within fair-market guidance provided by G Motion Rentals Inc. To protect the integrity of the marketplace and prevent destructive price competition among hosts, the platform enforces category-based minimum daily rates (the 'pricing floor'). Current floors: Exotic $350/day; Luxury $110/day; Electric $80/day; SUV $70/day; Sedan $50/day; Economy $40/day. Suggested fair-market ranges are displayed in the host's Fleet Dashboard when adding or editing a vehicle. Hosts may price above the floor freely; pricing below the floor is rejected by the system. Pricing floors may be revised by the platform from time to time based on market conditions; significant revisions are notified by email. This pricing policy is a vertical price restraint by the platform and does NOT involve coordination between competing hosts. Hosts are independent and may not coordinate prices with each other directly — doing so may violate U.S. antitrust law.
Host payouts are calculated per booking and disbursed by G Motion Rentals Inc via direct bank transfer or platform-supported payment method. Payouts are issued after the rental period concludes and after the standard inspection/dispute window of 5 business days. Hosts using Wheelbase's nightly payout feature directly are responsible for adjusting based on the platform commission via the reconciliation report generated by G Motion Rentals Inc. Outstanding deductions (damage claims, cleaning fees, fuel charges, late fees) are applied before disbursement.
To be listed on G Motion Rentals Inc, your vehicle must: (a) hold a clean, non-salvage, non-branded title; (b) be 12 model years old or newer (auto) — vehicles approaching this threshold may be removed; (c) have fewer than 200,000 miles; (d) carry an Actual Cash Value under $150,000 ($100,000 for exotic brands listed in our Trip Insurance Plan terms); (e) be in safe and roadworthy mechanical condition with no open / unrepaired safety recalls; (f) be currently registered, insured by you personally for off-platform use, and free of any liens that prohibit commercial/rental use. We may decline to list any vehicle at our sole discretion based on insurance eligibility, market fit, or quality standards.
When a booking is made through G Motion Rentals Inc and the guest selects the Trip Insurance Plan (Auto Basic or Auto Essential), your vehicle is covered under Wheelbase / Outdoorsy's protection package during the rental period: up to $1,000,000 in third-party liability for the host, and Auto Physical Damage coverage as primary insurance up to the vehicle's ACV (capped at $150,000). The applicable deductible — $1,000 for Auto Essential or $2,500 for Auto Basic — is the renter's responsibility. The platform charges the renter the deductible through the security deposit or direct charge. If the guest's primary insurance applies (e.g., for liability), the Wheelbase coverage operates as excess.
If your vehicle is financed, leased, or otherwise subject to a lien, listing it for short-term rental on a commercial platform MAY VIOLATE the terms of your financing or lease agreement. You are solely responsible for confirming that your participation in the G Motion Rentals Inc platform complies with all such agreements. G Motion Rentals Inc and Wheelbase assume no responsibility for any consequences (acceleration of loan, repossession, etc.) resulting from a violation of your financing or lease terms. We recommend you also notify your personal auto insurance carrier that your vehicle is being shared commercially.
To maintain Wheelbase insurance coverage on your vehicle, you must complete a mechanical inspection within 90 days of each booking. Inspections should be documented by a certified mechanic (or, if performed by you, supported by photos and an inspection form). Required checks include brakes, tires (must be at 50% tread or greater), fluid levels, lights, and overall safety equipment. G Motion Rentals Inc reserves the right to request inspection records as part of any claims process — failure to provide them may result in claim denial.
For every booking, the host (or G Motion Rentals Inc on your behalf) must capture dated photos with EXIF data within 24 hours BEFORE departure and within 48 hours AFTER return. Required: all four exterior corners, front, rear, roof, undercarriage, dashboard, odometer, fuel level, and interior shots. Both pre- and post-trip photos are required to substantiate any future insurance claim. Hosts must participate in or coordinate with G Motion Rentals Inc for these inspections at the agreed Key Exchange location.
Insurance coverage is contingent on the keys being handed exclusively to a Wheelbase-Verified Driver listed on the booking. The host (or G Motion staff at the Key Exchange) must verify the renter's identity matches the booking, their driver's license is valid and unexpired, the photo matches the person receiving the vehicle, and they are confirmed as a Verified Driver in the Wheelbase dashboard. If no Verified Driver is present, the vehicle MUST NOT be released — releasing it voids all insurance coverage for that booking. Hosts retain ultimate discretion to refuse handoff if anything appears suspicious.
You may NOT list, make available, or release a vehicle on a booking if there is an open or unrepaired safety recall affecting that vehicle. If you receive notice of a recall while your vehicle is listed: (a) remove it from availability immediately; (b) keep it unavailable until the recall has been repaired; (c) if a recall is issued while a guest is in possession, notify G Motion Rentals Inc immediately. By listing a vehicle on the platform, you represent and warrant that the vehicle is not subject to any open safety recall at the time it is made available.
Per Outdoorsy / Wheelbase policy, you are NOT permitted to have any cameras inside the vehicle that record during a reservation. Exterior dashcams used solely for accident-recording purposes may be permitted but must be disclosed in the vehicle listing and meet state law requirements. GPS tracking devices are permitted but must be disclosed to the renter at Key Exchange in compliance with state notification laws.
If damage to your vehicle is discovered at return, you (or G Motion Rentals Inc on your behalf) must file the claim through the Wheelbase host dashboard within 14 days of trip return. Required documentation: (a) renter's written statement of what happened; (b) copy of renter's personal insurance; (c) photos / videos of damage; (d) copy of police report if theft, vandalism, or third parties are involved; (e) the most recent 90-day inspection record; (f) pre- and post-trip photos with EXIF data; (g) proof of vehicle ownership (title, registration, lienholder letter). Claims are administered by Mobilitas; a representative reaches out within 1 business day. G Motion Rentals Inc will coordinate with you throughout the process but the host remains the named party in the claim.
If a covered loss is approved, Wheelbase pays the lesser of the vehicle's ACV or the repair / replacement cost using quality replacement parts. The Auto Basic or Auto Essential deductible ($2,500 or $1,000 respectively) is collected from the renter via the platform; if uncollectible, the claim payment is reduced by the deductible amount and the renter remains liable to the host for the balance. For non-covered damages, the renter is charged directly through the security deposit and (if insufficient) via the platform's direct billing facility.
Each vehicle's cancellation policy is set by G Motion Rentals Inc at the platform level (standard policy: full refund 24+ hours before pickup, one-day fee for cancellations within 24 hours, no refund for no-shows). Hosts may not negotiate alternative cancellation terms with renters off-platform. If a guest fails to complete Key Exchange at the agreed time, the booking is treated as a guest cancellation and the host receives the no-show fee less platform commission, subject to G Motion Rentals Inc' ability to collect from the renter's payment method.
California Sales Tax (currently 9.75%) on each booking is collected by Wheelbase / G Motion Rentals Inc and remitted to the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. Hosts are responsible for reporting their share of rental income on their personal or business income tax returns. G Motion Rentals Inc issues annual 1099-K forms (or equivalent) to hosts whose annual earnings exceed the federal reporting threshold. We do not provide tax advice — consult a qualified tax professional.
Hosts are solely responsible for maintaining their vehicles in safe, roadworthy condition between bookings. This includes: regular oil changes, brake inspection, tire condition (50%+ tread, no sidewall cracks), fluid levels, working lights and signals, and addressing any check-engine or warning lights. Tires must be replaced before reaching 50% wear. Failure to maintain the vehicle may void insurance coverage and may result in removal from the platform. G Motion Rentals Inc reserves the right to inspect any listed vehicle on reasonable notice.
You agree not to take bookings off-platform with renters you met through G Motion Rentals Inc. Doing so violates this Agreement, voids any insurance coverage on that off-platform booking, and may result in: (a) a $200 administrative fee per incident charged against future payouts, (b) suspension or termination of your host account, (c) charges for the platform commission that would have been earned. Contacting renters through the platform's messaging system is encouraged and required for trip logistics — but transactions must remain on-platform.
All renter communication must occur through G Motion Rentals Inc' messaging tools or via SMS / phone using contact info provided in the booking. Avoid sharing personal contact info that bypasses our records — we may need to reference the conversation in case of disputes or claims. Profanity, harassment, or discrimination toward renters is grounds for immediate account termination.
Either party may terminate this Host Agreement with 30 days written notice. Termination does not affect bookings already confirmed at the time of notice. G Motion Rentals Inc reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate a host's account for: violation of this Agreement; insurance ineligibility; multiple guest complaints; failure to maintain vehicles; fraud or misrepresentation; or any conduct that materially harms the platform's reputation. Outstanding payouts will be reconciled within 30 days of termination; any outstanding fees or claim amounts may be withheld.
Per the underlying Wheelbase / Outdoorsy Terms of Service, hosts agree to pay $5,500 in liquidated damages per breach for serious violations including: participating in unauthorized off-platform transactions; using Outdoorsy / Wheelbase trademarks without permission; filing prohibited legal claims; listing a vehicle with expired or missing registration; offering a stolen / missing vehicle; renting out an unsafe / non-roadworthy vehicle; canceling or modifying trips to manipulate earnings; or creating an account to bypass a suspension. This amount represents a reasonable estimate of damages that are difficult to calculate precisely.
By listing a vehicle on G Motion Rentals Inc, you agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless G Motion Rentals Inc, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your vehicle's condition or fitness for use; (b) any violation of this Agreement; (c) your interaction with renters; (d) your tax obligations; or (e) any damage or injury that occurs outside the scope of Wheelbase insurance coverage. This indemnification survives termination of this Agreement.
G Motion Rentals Inc may modify this Agreement from time to time. Significant changes will be notified by email to the address on your host account. Continued use of the platform after modifications constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with any modification, you may terminate your host account with 30 days written notice as described above.
