SUV Rentals in Los Angeles

10 cars available

An SUV in Los Angeles makes sense for almost every reason except parking. Beach trips with surfboards, ski runs to Big Bear or Mammoth, family arrivals at LAX with three kids and four suitcases, group dinners in Hollywood — all of these get easier with the cargo space and seat count an SUV gives you. The trade-off is parallel parking in Venice or Santa Monica, but you'll figure that out.

Our SUV fleet starts at $85/day with the Ford EcoSport (compact, 4-seat) and runs up to $300/day for the Range Rover Sport SE (luxury, 5-seat). In between we have the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (electric, 5-seat, great for daily driving), Genesis GV80 (7-seat, premium interior), Acura ZDX (electric SUV, 5-seat), and the Volvo XC90 Plug-In Hybrid (luxury 7-seat with EV range).

For families: every SUV has child-seat anchors (LATCH or universal tether). You can bring your own seat at no charge, or add a child seat or booster seat at booking for a flat $40 per trip each. For airport runs: most SUVs fit 4 large suitcases + 4 passengers comfortably, the 7-seaters fit 6 suitcases + 7 passengers.

Same-day pickup is available if you book before 4pm. Delivery to LAX, hotels, or city addresses is a flat fee based on distance. Coverage is chosen at checkout — your own auto policy or our Trip Insurance Plan. Mileage limits vary by car (most allow 200 miles per day), with the per-mile overage rate published on each vehicle's page.

If you're doing a multi-day road trip — Yosemite, Sequoia, Joshua Tree, San Francisco — pick a 4WD or AWD SUV from our list. Listings filter by drive type, and the Genesis GV80, Range Rover Sport, and most of our luxury SUVs have full-time AWD.

Frequently asked questions

Which SUV seats 7 people?

The Genesis GV80 and Volvo XC90 Plug-In Hybrid both seat 7. Both are available from $115–225/day.

Do you have AWD/4WD SUVs?

Yes — most of our luxury and full-size SUVs (Range Rover Sport, Genesis GV80, Acura ZDX) have AWD. Listings note drivetrain in the specs section.

Can I take an SUV to the snow (Big Bear, Mammoth)?

Yes. AWD SUVs handle Big Bear and Mammoth Mountain conditions well. Chains may be required in heavy snow — confirm at pickup.

What's the cheapest SUV you rent?

Ford EcoSport at $85/day is our entry-level SUV. Hyundai Ioniq 5 (electric SUV) at $85/day is the next step up.

Are child seats included?

Not included, but you can add a child seat or booster seat at booking for a flat $40 per trip each — or bring your own at no cost. Every SUV has LATCH/universal tether anchors.
