A security deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit amount varies by vehicle: Economy/Sedan: $300, Standard SUV: $500, Luxury vehicles: $1,000, Tesla Model 3: $500. The deposit is charged to your credit or debit card at the time of booking confirmation.
For credit card payments, the deposit is placed as a hold (authorization) rather than a charge. This hold will appear on your statement but will not be billed unless deductions are necessary. For debit cards, the full deposit amount is charged and refunded after the rental.
Security deposits are refunded within 3–5 business days after the vehicle is returned and inspected. Credit card holds are released within 3–7 business days depending on your bank. Debit card refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear in your account.
Deductions from the security deposit may be made for: vehicle damage beyond normal wear and tear, excessive cleaning, fuel shortfall, additional mileage charges, traffic violations or parking tickets, late return fees, and any other charges outlined in the rental agreement.
If you disagree with any deductions from your deposit, you may dispute them within 7 days of receiving the deposit statement. Contact us at gmotionrentals@gmail.com with your booking number and a description of the dispute. We aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days.
